Prediction trick - A Card Magic Trick
A GREAT PREDICTION!
It is an easy but effective technique that l learned long time ago and still I use it in my shows. For this trick you need some paper, a pen that works and the same deck that you have been working with in pass routines / tricks.
Card Trick Presentation:
You say that you will make an amazing prediction with the cards.
So you write any card on the paper that only you know and put it under a glass.
Then ask someone to take a card. You will not see this card, but everybody can see this card.
Then tell everybody that you wrote the card on the paper and it is under the glass, where everybody can see it. So you could not change the paper.
Tell the person who chose the card to show you and of course to everybody else, that his card is, for example, the 10 of diamonds!
Tell somebody else to take the paper and read the prediction…They will take it and read 10 of diamonds!
Secret:
This card trick / technique is use to force a card.
Take the deck of cards and look for the 10 of diamonds…ok? Preparation: Take the deck of cards in basic position, cards face up in your left hand, and count three cards.
Turn the three cards face down on the deck.
Take the card 10 of diamonds and put it face down on top of these cards.
Good, now turn over the deck of cards in the same hand (left).
Now having the deck of cards in basic position face down but with four cards from the bottom face up. The public doesn’t see this, so you need to prepare everything before you perform the show.

Take the paper and write 10 of diamonds (for example).
Fold the paper and put it under a glass or something visible to everyone.
Then the spectators can see that you could not change the paper.
Now pay attention to this: With the right hand, extend the deck, but hold the secret in your left hand; make it appear normal.
Relax the muscles and say: “This is a regular deck,”.. and extend the deck of cards in your hand from the left to the right.
Remember: the four cards are face-up under the deck of cards.

Close the deck of cards on your left hand and choose any victim,…I mean anybody, and tell: “Take half of the deck.”

When the person takes half the deck, you have half of the deck as well and everyone is watching your half of the deck.
Important!.. Misdirection: Now move your eyes up to look at everybody and at the same time, lower your left hand and turn it over, cards facing down.

Take the stack with the right hand and turn the cards over, facing up.
Then put your half of the stack in your left hand in the basic position.

At this moment you have
4 cards face down (the 10 of diamonds on the top and 3 different cards).
All movements need to be fast and smooth. Here you say, “Now that you cut half of the deck, from here take the next card.” The spectator will think that he is taking any card, but really it’s the 10 of diamonds, the card that you wrote on the prediction.
Now take the whole deck and say: “I will turn around and I don’t want to see the card.
Please show it to everybody.”
At this moment with your back to the public, fix the 3 cards that are face down so that the deck of cards will be organized.
Look at the audience and talk about the prediction that you wrote and put earlier under the glass.
Tell somebody, please, take it and read the prediction: 10 of diamonds, the same card that the spectator chose before.
